Privacy and analytics

CLP aims to use website measurement responsibly and collect only what is useful for improving the learning experience.

Optional analytics

CLP's planned measurement setup uses Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager to understand aggregate website visits and interactions with learning resources. Analytics is optional. The Google Tag Manager container is designed not to load unless you select Accept analytics.

If you reject optional analytics, the analytics container is not loaded. You can reopen your choice at any time using the Privacy choices control shown on the website.

What may be measured

When analytics is enabled and its tags are configured, CLP may measure page views, broad acquisition and device information, learning-resource and navigation clicks, topic-filter use, FAQ interactions, and whether a visitor initiated a community email draft.

CLP's custom interaction events are designed not to send email addresses, form contents, topic suggestions, query strings, or full outbound URLs. An email-draft event does not mean an email was sent.

Browser choice

Your optional analytics choice is stored in this browser's local storage. Clearing browser data or using another browser/device may reset the choice. Theme preferences are stored separately.

Third-party processing

If you accept analytics after the measurement tags have been configured, Google services may process measurement data according to Google's applicable terms and privacy documentation. CLP does not intend to use this setup for advertising, remarketing, session replay, or heatmaps.

Change your choice

Use the Privacy choices control to accept or reject optional analytics. CLP may update this notice as its measurement practices evolve.

This notice describes CLP's intended technical setup and is not a complete legal privacy policy. The final policy should be reviewed against the audiences, jurisdictions, and services CLP actually uses.
